About The Consultation

During your consultation, your instructor will clarify your wedding details (song, date, floor size), and get to know your goals. If we have time, we may even practice some steps! Some helpful tips for your consultation are listed below.

• Book your consultation well in advance of your wedding. In order to achieve your goals, we must have a realistic time frame. Depending on your dance experience, it can be difficult to learn a dance in a couple of months. Give yourself time. After your evaluation your instructor can give you an estimated time frame to learn your dance, based on your ability.

• Come prepared with your date and wedding details. We’ll need to know your wedding date and floor size. We choreograph according to floor size to eliminate any mis-steps (The sooner we get the details, the sooner we can dance!)

• Have your song(s) and style in mind. It’s okay not to have a song yet, we will gladly assist you if you are having trouble finding the right one, but having a few songs narrowed down will help your instructor understand your vision.

• Wear comfortable shoes and attire.  During the evaluation, we may go through some basic steps, so be comfortable!
